People make this assumption a lot and I seriously mean A LOT.
Almost everyone in my Japanese class and Japanese LOVES anime. So it is understandable. I just get tired of people making the assumption that everyone in a Japanese class is weird and wants to learn Japanese because of anime. It's mean. ):<

I like anime yes but I love Japanese Dramas and Movies so much more. XD Ever since I was a little kid I've wanted to travel to Japan because of the technology and the shopping. I also have an interest in teaching English in an Asian country through programs like JET (Japan Exchange and Teaching) and EPiK (English Program in Korea).

Yeah, ppl do make that assumption too much. Half of my Japanese class doesn't even like anime

The language is quite interesting, and suddenly everyone's thinking that JUST because we wanna learn Japanese, we've gone "obsessive" over anime.

I want to go to Japan for shopping, the history, and the scenery. And I want to learn Japanese; not because I want to go there, but because I like the language.
