People make this assumption a lot and I seriously mean A LOT.
Almost everyone in my Japanese class and Japanese LOVES anime. So it is understandable. I just get tired of people making the assumption that everyone in a Japanese class is weird and wants to learn Japanese because of anime. It's mean. ):<

I like anime yes but I love Japanese Dramas and Movies so much more. XD Ever since I was a little kid I've wanted to travel to Japan because of the technology and the shopping. I also have an interest in teaching English in an Asian country through programs like JET (Japan Exchange and Teaching) and EPiK (English Program in Korea).

Of course this is true for me. I want to learn Japanese because I find it to be a fascinating and different language compared to my own native one. Also I love how it sounds.

I really like anime and want to learn Japanese, but it isn't because of anime. Japanese just seems like a fun and challenging language to learn.
